CCTV, ANPR, footfall and net zero reporting for estates and BIDs
Smart Place answers the questions put to whoever runs an estate, business park or town centre: what came in, how busy the place is, what happened and what its traffic emits. It is one scheme on one set of data, and it works with the cameras the place already has.

What came onto the estate, and when?
Each vehicle read at a covered way in or out is logged with its plate, the time and the entrance. DVLA records then add its make, colour, fuel type and year. Put a vehicle on a watchlist and you get an alert when it arrives, including out of hours.
Footfall
Is the place getting busier?
Your cameras count pedestrians and vehicles by location, over time. That gives you the town centre or estate footfall data a board asks for before a ballot, after an event or in a funding bid. It counts people. It does not identify them.
AI CCTV
What happened on Tuesday night, and where is the footage?
Search the scheme's cameras by vehicle type, direction of travel and time window, and you are pointed to the footage you need in minutes rather than an afternoon. The analytics narrow the search. A person still looks at what they find and decides what it means.
Reporting and net zero
What do we show the board, and where do we stand on net zero?
You get traffic and footfall trends over time. The vehicle mix through your entrances, by fuel type, age and Euro rating, becomes a transport emissions figure you can track year on year, alongside air-quality data where a scheme collects it. It covers vehicles moving through the place, not a full carbon account. All of it is ready to put in front of your board.
What Smart Place is not
Not a video management system.
You do not watch live camera feeds in Smart Place. The video stays in your camera software.
Not round-the-clock monitoring.
Monitoring is on demand: an event prompts someone to look, and how that works is agreed for each estate.
Not a reason to replace your cameras.
Newer and older cameras run side by side in the same scheme.
Estate and BID schemes we have built
We designed and installed the CCTV and ANPR schemes at West Chester BID, Winsford 1-5 BID and Gadbrook Park BID. We are now rebuilding CCTV across five Clackmannanshire estates for Clacksfirst BID, adding plate reading as the cameras are replaced.
